Mannarino, Catherine S.

ALBANY- Catherine S. Mannarino, 98, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Antonetta Sano. Catherine graduated from Cathedral Academy and worked as a secretary at Memorial Hospital for several years. She later joined the office of Sano Rubin construction where she remained for over 30 years.

Mrs. Sano was a communicant of the Parish of Mater Christi. She was also a member of the Italian American Community Center.

Catherine was an exceptional cook and organizer. She was a huge word puzzle fan and also a member of IACC Bocce League.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Anthony, son John A. Mannarino and brother John Sano. Survivors include her grandsons John Thomas and Christopher Anthony Mannarino; her sister Emma Mannarino; daughter-in-law Lynn Barcomb; and many nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 25, at 11 am at the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St. Albany. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with her family at the Church prior to the Mass from 10-11am. In the In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Parish of Mater Christi.
