Magrew, John D.

KATTSKILL BAY, NY - John D. Magrew, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Hospice Care Home in Milford, Delaware. Born and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late John and Josephine (Hayden) Magrew. Mr. Magrew served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked in sales with AMP Special Industries.

He is survived by his children Shannon Anderson (Brian) and John Magrew (Julie); step-children Thomas Komjathy (Donna), Valerie Komjathy (John), and Anita Dowse (Roger); his grandchildren, James Smith (Christen), Hollie Smith (Irv), Brenden Anderson, Courtney Mabrey, Peyton Holloway, Jeremy Magrew and Taylor Magrew; 7 step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren Cameron, Harper and Ka’marion. He was predeceased by his wife Madeline, sister Joan Horsman, and step-son David Komjathy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service with Military honors Wednesday, January 23rd at 2 pm in St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Avenue, Menands.
