Lorraine E. Martin

ALBANY- Lorraine McCann Martin, 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 8, 2024.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ernestine Galaise McCann. She was a graduate of Vincentian Institute Class of 1947. Lorraine enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing the piano. She studied oil painting and was an avid reader.  Lorriane was a longtime Communicant of All Saints Catholic Church (formerly St. Margaret Mary’s).

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James F. Martin, III, and son James F. Martin, IV, and her sisters Marcia McCann Murphy and Sheila McCann Russo. She is survived by her daughters Deborah (Thomas) Provost, Lorraine “Missy” (Michael) Hughes and Diane Martin; grandchildren James (Nicole) Provost, Dana Provost, Kayleigh (Patrick) Lee, Michael (Ashley) Hughes, Alexis Hughes, Tara Claesgens, and Sean Claesgens; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ellen Uhl; brother-in-law, Joseph Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 15th from 4 to 7pm at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave, Albany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday October 16th at 9am at the All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St, Albany. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
