ALBANY- David W. Lolik, 83, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Anthony and Cecilia “Sally” (Kowalczyk) Lolik. David graduated from Scotia Glenville High School and Siena College.
He taught English in the Amsterdam and Schuylerville Public School system for many years and retired as Assistant Principal. He also worked for his friends Peter and Pat Mirable at TSI and later for Prime Source until he fully retired.
David loved cooking, baking and decorating his home; especially during the holidays. He was the family liaison and kept everyone connected.
David was also a long-time volunteer, aformer board member and active memberof the Delaware Avenue Merchants Group and the Delaware Area Neighborhood Association-DANA .
In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his brother Edwin Lolik and his sisters Rita Barnes (James) and Sally Uliano. He is survived by his devoted partner of 26 years, Michael Rorick; his sister Cynthia Lolik, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Per his wishes there will be no formal funeral services.
