ALBANY- Anne Rose Lemme, 95, of Albany passed away peacefully on September 21, 2023, at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 1, 1927, she is the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosaria (Cassara) Scepi.

Anne is survived by her children Christine Battaglia (David), Sharon Masciocco (Joseph), Ralph S. Lemme (Joan), Dominick Lemme (Lucy), grandchildren Lisa Diamantis (Kosta), David Battaglia, Anthony Battaglia (Gina), Nicholas Battaglia (Angie), Michael Masciocco, Meghan Lemme, Daniel Lemme, Elizabeth Rose (Will), Dominick Lemme (Nicole), Molly Lemme and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Anthony (Sharon)and nephews Marc ( Paula) and Gregory.Anne is predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years Ralph J. Lemme. She is also predeceased by her grandson Joey Masciocco, her brother Stephen Scepi, and her sister Nancy Scepi

Early in her career, Anne worked at the telephone company (AT&T). She pursued her interest in fashion and modeled part time for several years before dedicating herself to her true passion...her family. Anne's world revolved around her family, and she poured her heart and soul into creating a warm and loving home. Her unwavering love, guidance, and support shaped the lives of her family, friends and neighbors. She was a source of strength and a loving presence that brought comfort to all.

Anne loved to cook, her kitchen was the heart of her home and she and Ralph enjoyed entertaining family and friends especially on the holidays when the house would be full and there would always be room for one more. In their younger years, they also enjoyed golf, traveling and spending time at their camp in the Adirondacks. Anne enjoyed growing tomatoes and basil every summer, she kept up to date with news and politics and at 95 shopped online. She was a lifelong communicant of St. James Church in Albany and a devout Catholic.

Anne's life was a testament to the profound love and devotion she had for her family, and her memory will forever remain etched in our hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Avenue, Albany on Monday September 25, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday September 26, 2023 at 11 am at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, 391 Delaware Avenue, Albany with Fr. James Belogi the celebrant. Burial will follow in the family plot next to her late husband Ralph at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
