Lavigne, Barbara J.

ALBANY- Barbara J. LaVigne 86, died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at home. She was born in Columbus, OH the daughter of the late Bernard LaVigne and Edith (Snow) Thomas and step-daughter of the late Joseph Thomas. Miss LaVigne was a graduate of Cathedral Academy class of 1946. She worked at Montgomery Wards and later for the New York Telephone Company retiring in the early 1990’s. Miss LaVigne was a member of the NY Telephone Pioneers.

She is survived by her sister Sarah “Sally” Liuzzi of Myrtle Beach, SC; nieces Lauren (Bob Hatch) Horn and Nancy (Ken) Rivers; nephews Joseph (Pearl) Liuzzi and Peter (Van) Liuzzi; great-nieces Lindsay Horn and Krista Liuzzi; great-nephews Jason Horn and Nicholas Liuzzi. She was predeceased by her sister Anna Thomas.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 5-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Avenue, Albany. All are welcome to attend.
