Kulzer, Anna E.

COLONIE- On Sunday, February 5, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, Ann(a) E. Kulzer completed her 92 year journey on earth.

Ann is survived by her devoted children, son, John F. (Linda) Kulzer; daughter, Carla Ann (Cookie) Herbert; grandson, Christopher (Michelle Forman) Herbert; great-grandchildren, Gordon Flynn, and Sal Greta Herbert. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank M. Kulzer; brother, John M. Signer and her parents, John A. and Clara M. (Condon) Signer.

Ann will be missed by her Circle of Angels, especially Florence Lenartson and Nancy Cunningham, who, along with many others, enjoyed trips with the Silver Streakers and numerous fun times.

She had resided at the Towers of Colonie for 37 years. Ann worked as a managing Supervisor for student loans at NYHEAC for 20 years, retiring in 1983.

She was an avid reader and traveler, enjoying Ireland, Hawaii and many Caribbean Islands. Ann especially enjoyed New Smyrna Beach, Florida where John and Linda reside. Her love for the water developed at the family summer camp at Warner’s Lake. She especially enjoyed July vacations with family at Wells Beach, Maine.

Ann’s life was filled with love for her family and friends. Her independence and strength were an inspiration to all who knew her.

The family would like to thank Drs., Nagaraja Patil, David Putnam and Yusef Dincer for their devoted care. With gratitude to St. Peter’s Hospital Emergency, Cardiac and especially Oncology Departments and the Inn at Hospice, for their wonderful care of Ann.

A celebration of Ann’s life will be held in April at a date and time to be announced.
