Kozielski, Mary Lorraine

ALBANY- Mary Lorraine Kozielski, 84, died on August 25, 2018 at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mary was born in Albany, to John W. and Irene A. Kruse. She was a 1952 graduate of Cathedral Academy. Mrs. Kozielski worked as an Insurance Rater for the American Surety Insurance Company, the National Union Insurance Company and E.V. Mullenneaux. She retired in 1996 and was a communicant of the former St. Teresa of Avila Church.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley Kozielski, her sister, Sister Irene Kruse, CSJ, and her brother John W. Kruse, Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Helene K. Kruse, and Bernadette (John) Willianson; her nephew and godson, Andrew J. Williamson. She is also survived by her stepdaughter Lynne Miller Donnelly; grandchildren Wayne Miller and Sandra Fortune; great-grandchildren Daniel Jacob Fortune, Samanth Grace Miller and Amanda Fortune; an uncle and many cousins both locally and in Denmark.

Mary was a beautiful, caring and generous woman who always saw the best in everyone she met.She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care shown to her for the 7 years she shared with them.They also want to thank Albany Hospice for their kindness and care during her final days.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29th at 9:15 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany thence to the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell Street, Albany where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Mary’s family at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 28th from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will follow the Mass at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
