Koehler, Alfred S.

DELMAR, Alfred S. Koehler, 86, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Born in East Worcester, NY he was the son of the late Laura (Holmes) Koehler. Mr. Koehler was a WWII Navy veteran and a longtime member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Delmar. He worked for many years in sales for several business in the capital district.

Husband of the late Janet D. (Dascher) Koehler; father of Patrice Koehler of Delmar, Pamela (Donald) Palmer of Colonie and grandfather of Victoria (John) Wyld of Niskayuna, Patrick (Michele) Palmer of Loudonville and Jeffrey (Lisa) Palmer of Albany ; great-grandfather of Kate, Chloe and Chase Palmer. Mr. Koehler is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Koehler

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10am in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Norman E. Dascher Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany, Tuesday from 4-7pm. Interment, Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
