Feura Bush, NY - James Edward Keegan, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at the age of 85. He was born December 6, 1935, in Cortland NY, to John and Mary Jessie Keegan. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and attended classes at Ithaca College. He married Mary D’Amore and had four sons— James, Thomas, Timothy and John — and six grandchildren who lovingly called him “Pop”. Jim was one of the founders of Temp-Pro Incorporated, a temperature sensing products manufacturer based in Northampton, MA that designs and manufactures temperature sensing products, thermocouples, thermowells, RTD's and associated components and hardware used in multiple industrial processes and industries throughout the world.
He is survived by his sons James (Sara), Thomas (Sharon), and John, his brother John (Sheila), his sister-in-law Marie and grand children Ryan (Megan), Thomas-“TJ”, Kevin, Kelly, Katie and Mary as well as very dear friends James and Mary Galpin. James fought a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s and amazed family, friends, and caretakers with his grace, devotion and amazing strength. He was pre-deceased in death by his younger brother Robert, younger sister Eileen, and his son Timothy. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the caring professionals at Shaker Place Nursing Center and Community Hospice in Albany, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jim’s name to Community Hospice in Albany.
