Kathleen A Hirsch

COHOES-Kathleen A. (Honroth) Hirsch, 81, passed away at home on Sunday October 27, 2024.

Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Lorraine (Hilton) Honroth. She was a graduate of the former Philip Schuyler High School and Mildred Elly Business School. Mrs. Hirsch worked for the NYS Dept. of Social Services retiring in 1998 as Senior Computer Operator. She later worked for Albany International as an administrative assistant.

She was a member of My Father’s House 5th Ave. in Watervliet.

Kathleen was the wife of Richard Hirsch, Sr.; mother of Arthur Hirsch, Suzanne (Edward) Popiel, Charles (Tracy) Hirsch and Richard (Kelly) Hirsch, Jr.; sister of Joyce (Edward) Wright and the late Arthur Crounse Honroth. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren Amanda R., Alex James, Zack, Katrina, Tamara, Michaella, Hannah, Elena, Nick, Julia Hirsch, Nate, Marissa and Jake Popiel; great-granddaughter Aubrielle Hirsch and several nieces and nephews.

Kathleen’s family would like to thank Community Hospice for their care and compassion given to Kathleen during her illness.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 11:30 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Kathleen’s family at the funeral home prior to her service from 10-11:30 am.  Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
