Kasparoglu, Nisan

ALBANY-Nisan Kasparoglu, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.

Nisan is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Vartuhi “Leyla” Kasparoglu; sister, Alis Demircan of Connecticut; brother Sahak Kasparoglu of Turkey; sons, Arjanti Kasparoglu and Shahin Kasparian; daughter, Madlen Balgin; grandchildren, Aras Balgin, Arpi Balgin, Marilyn Kasparian, Christina Kasparian, and Ani Kasparian; great-granddaughter, Sophie. He was predeceased by his cherished grandson, Alexander Kasparian.

Nisan was loved by all his extended family and friends around the world. He was a hard working businessman and also an experienced carpenter who applied old world skills to all of his work. He devoted his whole life to ensuring family and others were cared for and happy. He will be remembered by all who knew him as the loving compassionate, and strong man that he was.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass at St. Peter’s Armenian Church, 100 Troy- Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189 on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 481 Route 9W, Glenmont. A reception to honor his life will be held at Martel’s Restaurant, 65 O’Neil Rd., Albany.
