Kasparoglu, Leyla

ALBANY- Vartuhi “Leyla” Kasparoglu, 87, entered eternal peace Sunday, July 11, 2021.

Leyla is survived by her children Arjanti Kasparoglu, Murat Kasparian, Madlen Balgin: grandchildren Aras Balgin, Arpi Balgin, Marilyn Kasparian, Christina Kasparian and Ani Kasparian; and her great-granddaughter Sophie. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Nisan Kasparoglu and cherished grandson, Alex Kasparian.

Leyla was loved by all her extended family and friends around the world.

She was deeply passionate about preparing her Armenian dishes and enjoyed sharing them with her family and friends. Leyla was a strong and determined woman who always made sure her family was well cared for. She loved life, and family was everything to her. Leyla will always be remembered for her courage, strength and love.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 9:00 am in St. Peter’s Armenian Church, 100 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Watervliet. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 481 Route 9W, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to St. Peter’s Armenian Church, P.O. Box 196, Watervliet, NY 12189
