ALBANY-William C. Jurcsak, 82, entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Ballston Spa, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Timko) Jurcsak. Bill was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a Physical Education teacher with the Albany City School District for many years, retiring in 1991. Bill’s true passions were bowling and his many years of service as a baseball umpire with the NYSBUA.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Janyce (Lawson) Jurcsak; his children, William of Derry, NH., Paul of Waipahu, HI., Lori Watson of Bridgewater, NJ., Thomas of Albany, Michael of Chesterfield, VA. and Sandra Losee of Guilderland; his siblings, Thomas Jurcsak and Elizabeth Orzel both of Ballston Spa. He is also survived by nine loving grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his brother, George and two infant daughters, Marybeth and Christine Marie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St., Albany. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-1942 would be appreciated.
