Joann Spadaro

ALBANY - JoAnn Spadaro passed away on Friday August 9, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospital. She was born June 15,1956 in Albany to the late Salvatore and Anna Spadaro. JoAnn graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1974. She retired from the New York State Department of Health after 40 years of state service. Joann was an avid SF 49ers fan. She loved going to Las Vegas and enjoyed gambling at all casinos.

Survivors include her brother, Paul (Moira); her two nephews, Paul and Samuel; her niece, Kathryn; and great-nephew, Sam, who she loved dearly. She is also survived by her cousins, Debbie (Jim Pasquali) and Mary Beth Champagne. JoAnn was predeceased by her long time partner Tony Bouchey.

Friends and family may call to the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home located at 490 Delaware Avenue Albany on Thursday August 15th from 4 to 6pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday August 16th at 9:30am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Lodge St in Albany. Donations may be made to the Northeast Kidney foundation.
