James R. Gibson, Jr.

WEST COXSACKIE - James R. Gibson Jr. passed away suddenly on June 30, 2024, at the age of 36.

Born on February 4, 1988 in Troy NY, James was the son of the late James Gibson Sr. and late Anne (Bridgeford) Gibson.   James loved watching football especially his favorite team the Buffalo Bills, Fishing with his boys, and hanging out with his friends. James was a fantastic cook and would feed anyone who was hungry.

James' greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife and soulmate Rose Gibson, and a loving father to his children, James Gibson III. and Carter Gibson His family was his pride and joy. He was an adoring brother to his two sisters Amber (Edgar) Ortiz, and Centrial (Sirhoward)Jackson. He was the best Tio to his nephews Zayden Ortiz and Zavier Ortiz. He was loved dearly by Sister’s` in law Sherry Downes and Bonnie (Wes) Fletcher, His Grandmother in law Marge Fissette and all of his aunts, uncles’ cousins, nieces and nephews who cherished him.

James will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with James’ family on Tuesday July 9, 2024 from 10 am to 12 noon in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home 490 Delaware Ave. Albany followed by a memorial service at 12:30 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Selkirk.
