ALBANY- James Frank Interlicchio, Sr., 82, died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 surrounded by his loving family and friends, Ernie and Linda Papa. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 17, 1929, the son of the late Armando and Maria (Barretta) Interlicchio. He joined the United States Air Force in 1950, and served in the Korean War. Mr. Interlicchio worked for the State of New York for 32 years. He was a Communicant of St. James Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gladys (Cataldo) Interlicchio who was devoted and caring for the entirety of their lives together. He is the father of James (Michelle) Interlicchio Jr.,
Libby (Dave) Biernat, Rosalie (Billy) Palmer and Catherine Interlicchio; proud grandfather of Gina, David, Rachel, Bethany, Spenser and Sophia; brother of Rosalie (the late Walter) Moraski, Alfred Interlicchio, Frank (Dolores) Interlicchio, Joseph (Barbara) Interlicchio, Catherine Interlicchio, Anthony Interlicchio and the late Salvatore Interlicchio; also, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Josephine Seibert and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 9:15 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany thence to St. Francis of Assisi Parish (formerly St. James Church), 391 Delaware Ave., Albany where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 3 p.m. to 8p.m. Burial with military honors will be at 12:30 p.m. in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY 12871. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Capital City Rescue Mission, 259 S. Pearl St., Albany, NY 12202 or a favorite charity.
