Igler, Betty S.

ALBANY-Betty (Smith) Igler, 88, died Friday, May 4, 2012 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Albany and a graduate of Albany High School she was the daughter of the late Henry S. and Ella S. (Schaumann) Smith. Mrs. Igler retired as a Sales Representative for J. C. Penney in Latham. She later worked as a floral designer for area florists. She was also very active in the community as a member of the P.T.A., the Girl Scouts of America and with the NYS Federation of Home Bureaus, Inc. for over 30 years, where she held various leadership positions. Locally she was affiliated with the Schenectady County Frilly-Dilly
