SCOTIA- Janice Riley Hurlburt, 72 passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday December 26, 2014 at the Joan Nicole Prince Home in Scotia.
Born in Albany, NY she was the daughter of the late Willis and Beatrice (Blake) Riley.
She worked for Father’s Produce for several years. Janice enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bingo and fishing with her son Brian. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Menands.
Wife of the late James L. Hurlburt; mother of Francis James (Machelle) Hulburt, Karl J. (Ruby) Hulburt, Lauri A. (Bob) Jabonaski and the late Brian J. Riley; sister of Shirley (Ed) Bates, Patricia (Francis) Coons, Eleanor (Claude) Romani, Willis Riley, Jr. and the late Armond Riley, Frances Duell and Nellie Ploof. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Wednesday prior to the service from 9-11 am. Interment will be at 1 pm in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
