Horan, Robert A. Sr.

ALBANY- Robert A. Horan, Sr., 73, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Born and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late Raymond and Stacia Dziamba Horan. Bob served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He was a courier for many years with St. Peter’s Health Partners.

Bob was a member of Sheehy Palmer VFW Post #6776. He was a coin collector, outdoor enthusiast, and enjoyed his extensive DVD collection.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his fiancé Susan Cohn. He is survived by his children Robert A. Horan, Jr. of Colorado, Kristina Otero of Albany and Eric Horan of Castleton; his siblings Irene Sitterly of Latham, Gail Mogul of Albany and Raymond Horan of Florida; grandchildren Bryan, Katelynn, Tyler and Kassidy Horan; also survived by many nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10:30 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with his family at the funeral home prior to the service from 9:00 am -10:30am. Inurment will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
