Holloway, Jack

ALBANY- John J. “Jack” Holloway, 67, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 05, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Colorado, Jack was the eldest son of the late James and Jean Holloway and was raised in Albany. Jack was a firefighter with the City of Albany for 20 years. He was an active member and past president of the APPFFRA, Local 2007. He was dedicated to supporting the firefighters union but his time spent at home was devoted to making memories with his wife and daughters.

Jack is survived by his wife Terry Holloway; daughters Corina Holloway, Lauren Lumbra and Jamie Holloway; six grandsons Douglas, Andrew, Mason, Calvin, Daniel and Roy; his brother James Holloway and sister-in-law Tara; also many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 3-7 pm at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. The family kindly asks all in attendance to wear a mask. Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jack may be made to the Albany Permanent Professional Firefighters Scholarship Fund, 39 Quail St., Albany, NY 12206.
