ALBANY
- Anne S. Hogan, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday January 18, 2019 at the Hudson Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Madeline (Petrini) Solman.
She is survived by her husband, George E. Hogan, and son Gregory D. Hogan of Albany, daughter, Lynne Young of Freehold, sister-in-law Gay Solman of Bend, OR, sister Kathleen Kaplik of Boston, MA, a grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John C. Solman and a grandson.
Mrs. Hogan was a graduate of the former Vincentian Institute and Russel Sage College, Albany Medical College School of Physical Therapy. She worked in her career for 39 years primarily at AMCH, the VNA of Albany and Our Lady of Hope Nursing Home. After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at the Adult Learning Center, the Five Rivers Environmental Education Center and attending Tai Chi classes. She also served as Eucharistic Minister at the former Holy Cross Church.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 25th at 9 am in All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead Street, Albany. Relatives and friends are invited.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205.
Inurnment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
