DELMAR, Chris Grieco, 73 of Delmar passed away suddenly on Friday, March 29, 2013.

Chris was born in Camden, NJ, the son of the late Christian J. Grieco and Ruth Hand Grieco. He resided in the Delmar area for 38 years. Chris was a forklift operator for Owens-Corning Fiberglas in Barrington NJ for a number of years. Later he became a Nationwide Insurance Sales and Service Representative; after a successful career spanning 38 years he retired in 2007. Chris and his wife enjoyed traveling and visited Europe a number of times. He was an avid sports fan, loved cars, French History and Vincent Van Gogh. Chris was a family man; children and animals adorned him.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Virginia Huerfeld of Delmar. He is the loving father of Elizabeth (Lawrence) Grieco-Dole of Delmar, Michele (Joseph)

Grieco-Hackett of Schenectady and Christian J. (Debra) of Glenmont. Chris leaves behind his grandchildren Eliza Jane Dole, Luke Dole, Liam Dole, Theodore Hackett, Christian Griffin Grieco and Jonathan Grieco. He is the loving brother of Marylou (Charles) Folkman of Angiers, NC and Paul (Heather) Grieco of Lindenwold, NJ.

Chris also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children. In addition to his parents, Chris was predeceased by his brother Thomas Grieco.

The Grieco family will greet visitors on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc. Albany. A Memorial Service for Chris is scheduled for 12 noon.
