Gilbert, Susan M.

ALBANY- Susan Gilbert, 52, passed away Monday December 7, 2020 after a long illness.

Born in Albany and raised in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of Winifred Smith Gilbert and the late Louis F. Gilbert.

Susan worked as a waitress at various restaurants in the Capital District for most of her life. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.

In addition to her mother, Susan is survived by her partner Lane Williams, her daughter Alexandria Williams, son Matthew Williams, sister Sandra Gilbert and several cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Susan’s family on Monday December 14thfrom 10am-12 noon at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Guests must wear masks, social distance and will be limited to 30 inside the building at any given time.

Due to current health restrictions regarding coronavirus, funeral services will be held privately.

Interment will take place at 1:00 pm in Holy Spirit Lutheran Cemetery, Glenmont and all are welcome to attend.
