FRESINA, MARY
ALBANY- Mary (DiBiase) Fresina, 89, died Monday, June 14, 2010, at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center after a long illness.
Born in Italy, daughter of the late Michael A. and Anna (Gnagnaerella) DiBiase, Mary had lived in Albany most of her life. She was an accomplished seamstress and was employed as a drapery maker with Jobe Draperies for many years. She loved her garden and was renowned for her home cooking, especially her Italian dishes.
Mary was a Communicant of St. James Church.
Devoted wife of the late Thomas A. Fresina; beloved mother of Thomas F. (Helen) Fresina of Chico, CA., Samuel (Kathy) Fresina of Voorheesville and Michael (Nancy) Fresina of Averill Park; cherished sister of Velma (Gene) Calabrese of Albany and the late Brenda (late John) D’Antonio, Nicholas and Ben DiBiase; sister-in-law of Annamarie DiBiase; loving grandmother of Darci Hayes, Kristin Scott, Kelly Moran, Samuel (Jayne) Fresina, Anthony, Nicholas, Carolyn and Nicole Fresina. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 10:00 am in St. James Church, 391 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 4-8pm. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Guadalupe Unit at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, for the care and compassion shown to Mary while she was a resident.
