Freeman, Eric M.

ALBANY- Eric M. Freeman, 28, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Willingboro, NJ, he is the beloved son of Lavette Freeman and Eric Crawley. Eric was raised and educated in Albany.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his sons Messiah and Mekhi Freeman; his brother, Amir Freeman; his maternal grandparents Berniece Freeman of Burlington, NJ and John (Margaret) Freeman of Radcliff, KY; long time girlfriend, Heavenly Wilson, his god-mother Loretta Long; god-sister Ebony Richardson, god-brother Quinton Jones; uncles, Randy, Garry and Danny Freeman; aunt Lavonne Freeman; great aunts Alberta (Bunch) Eanes, Gladys Clark, and Patricia Bailey; three devoted cousins, Antwan Timbers, Sr., Lanaia Sawyer, and Jolene Covington; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to the Ellis Hospital ICU Unit 1st Floor, Dr. M. Ford, the code blue team and the nurses and staff who provided exceptional care to Eric during his critical hours.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. John Church of God in Christ, 94 Herkimer St., Albany. A Calling hour will be held at the Church prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albany. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family at 602 Nutgrove Lane, Albany, NY 12202.
