Frangella, Mary L.

GLENMONT- Mary L. (Carozza) Frangella, 99, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born and educated in Kansburgh, PA she was the daughter of the late Gerardo and Antoinette (Durante) Carozza. Mrs. Frangella lived in Amsterdam, NY and later settled in Coeymans, NY. She was a homemaker and a Communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Ravena. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and baking.

Wife of the late Nicholas S. Frangella; mother of Samuel P. Frangella, Maria A. (Leonard) Fox,, Ann C. (Edward) Otto, Nicholas L. (Vera) Frangella and the late Gerald Frangella; sister of Clara Perone and the late Edward, Michael, Anthony, Eunice Carozza and her twin brother, Louis Carozza. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Kevin Paul Fox..

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 8:15 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. thence to St. Thomas the Apostle Church,35 Adams Pl, Delmar where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am.. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home, Monday, March 14, 2011 from 4-8 pm. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Ravena, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish may send memorial contributions to their favorite charity.
