Fox, Gregory J.

ALBANY-Gregory J. Fox, 27, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011 after a brave struggle with a chronic illness.

Greg was born in Albany on June 7, 1984 to James Fox and Roberta (Mike) Rosanne Worden.

His love of history, especially the Civil War came at a very early age. After graduating from Bishop Maginn High School Greg went on to SUNY Albany where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history, graduating summa cum laude. While Greg was pursuing his doctorate, he became interested in the field of medicine. At the time of his death he had completed his first year of study toward becoming a registered nurse.

Greg loved animals of all shapes and sizes and provided a safe and loving home for several adopted pets.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his longtime, significant other Angela Arnold: sisters, Abigail Fox and Lisa Hendley; his aunts, Mary (Joseph) Rebando, Anita (Edward) Manolt and his great-aunt Rose Nicola; his uncle, Frank (Joyce) Fox; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Friday, August 19, 2011 in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave., Albany.

Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral Home on Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 4 to 8 pm.
