Forezzi, Elizabeth Rae

ALBANY- Elizabeth Rae (Foley) Forezzi, 97, entered into eternal rest on Sunday August 6, 2023. Born in Albany on January 30, 1926 she was the daughter of the late John T. and Edna E. Norris Foley.

Elizabeth attended the former St. Ann’s Academy and worked for many years as a clerk in Albany City Hall. She was a longtime communicant of the Parish of Mater Christi and was a member of the Albany Seniors. Mrs. Forezzi enjoyed bowling and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees.

Elizabeth was the wife of the late Louis J. Forezzi; mother of the late Chief Robert C. Forezzi, Sr. (Daphne) and Louis J. Forezzi, II ( the late Paula); grandmother of Louis J. Forezzi, III, Robert C. Forezzi, Jr. (Kerry) who was her caregiver, Joseph Forezzi, Nicholas J. Forezzi (Norah) and the late Michael J. Forezzi; great grandmother of Alec, Anthony, Nicholas, John Michael, Karly, Zoe, Caleb, Joseph and Jayden; great-great grandmother of Rose and Liana. She was the sister of the late Robert T. Foley, USN and is survived by a special niece Diane Foley Brimhall as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the Atria, Shaker Place and Albany Med critical care staff for their care and compassion during Rae’s later years.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated onTuesday August 15, 2023 at 10:30 am in the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St. Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with her familyon Monday, August 14, from 4-7 pmin the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany.
