- David L. Florick, 82 of Albany, passed away on Saturday December 15, 2018 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Long Island, NY, David was the son of the late Joseph T. and Nettie (Zorn) Florick.
David was a Tandem Tractor Trailer Operator for the N.Y.S Office of General Services in Albany, retiring in 1995 after 40 years of dedicated service. Upon his retirement he was a courier for the Lia Group. He was also a Volunteer Firefighter and current associate member of the East Farmingdale Fire Company.
David is survived by his loving wife Jane, four loving children Gregory (Rhonda) Florick, Timothy (Pearl) Florick, Sharon (Greg) Loe and Dawn Florick as well as nine cherished grandchildren Regina, Christine, David, Greg, Justin, Sean, Carly Drew, Wren and numerous nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings Joseph, Delia, Dorothy and Audrey.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Friday December 21, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home 490 Delaware Avenue, Albany.
David’s Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday December 22, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 391 Delaware Ave., Albany.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in David’s memory to the St. James Food Pantry, 391 Delaware Ave., Albany NY 12209.
Inurnment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands at the convenience of the family.
