Fiddemon, Rev. Calvin W.

ALBANY- Reverend Calvin Wendell Fiddemon was 73 years old when he was called home to the Lord on April 12th, 2022. He was born in Cambridge, MD on February 12, 1949. Reverend Calvin Fiddemon resided in the city of Albany, NY, and attended Albany High school where he earned his high school diploma. He also attended college at Empire State College, Siena College, Saint Rose College, and Berkshire Community College. He was a graduate of the Albany Bible Institute. He began to serve the Lord at the age of 21. He received his ordination at age 26 as an elder at the Faith Tabernacle Deliverance Church where he was an associate minister. He obtained his preacher’s license in 1970 at AME Zion Church. He pastored the Peoples Church of deliverance. At the time of his passing, he was the pastor of Overcoming Grace Ministries. He was a devoted, strong, faithful, and diligent believer in God and served the Lord for almost 60 years.

He is survived by his wife Rose Sharon Fiddemon and his children Naomi Sanders (Fiddemon), Rose Fiddemon, David Fiddemon, Elijah Fiddemon, Virgil Fiddemon, Joseph Fiddemon, Moses Fiddemon, Aleesha Ford (Fiddemon), Willie Mae Fiddemon, and 13 grandchildren, his sister JoeAnn Cotton, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Willie Mae Fiddemon, his father Rev. Russell Paige Fiddemon, his brothers Russell Paige Fiddemon, Jr., and Roger Lee Fiddemon, and his sons Calvin B. Fiddemon and Roger Israel Fiddemon. He will forever be loved and missed by all those who love him and keep him in their hearts. Those who truly knew him truly loved him.
