Faulkner, Sophia A.

ALBANY-Sophia A Faulkner, 37, of Albany, NY passed away from complications after a long four year battle on June 22 2021 with her only daughter and junior sister by her side. Born in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Ines Bratcher and Kenneth Faulkner. She is survived by her daughter Kayla Huba, two dog babies Dash and Maple, and manysiblings. She is also survived by the Huba/Gardy and Bratcher/Faulkner families and was predeceased by Patricia Huba.

She proudly served in the United States Army Reserve as an E5 Sergeant for close to 20 years. She had an Associates Degree in applied science, a Bachelor’s Degree in science, a Masters Degree in Cybersecurity and was recently going back to college to obtain her second Bachelor's Degree. Sophia always loved drawing, painting, doing puzzles, gardening and building fantastic projects. She was and will always be the strongest person we know.
To celebrate her life calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 1st, 2021 from 9:00 -11:00 am in Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany, NY 12209. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 1:30pm sharp at the Gerald B.H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road Schuylerville NY 12871.
