Dunbar, Joseph J. Jr.

GUILDERLAND- Joseph J. Dunbar, Jr. 88, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in the comfort of his home. Born in New York City, Joe was the son of the late Joseph Dunbar and Doris Irene Hammond.

Joe worked as a pressman for Williams Press and Boyd Printing. He was a member of the Elks Club and enjoyed spending time at Saratoga Race Track and Rivers Casino. Joe loved music, was a singer/songwriter and a huge fan of Elvis Presley. He had a fondness for Sophia Loren and all the old time movies. He loved sports cars and pets, especially his dog, Winston.

Joe was predeceased by his wife Catherine and son Joseph J. Dunbar III. He is survived by his children Lisa, Kyle and Alexander (Alexandra) Dunbar; his brother and sister-in-law Frank and Mary Kay Sager; his close friend Anita Permanand; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 20, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with his family prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Masks are required. Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
