Donnie A. Morris

Donnie A. Morris passed away on April 1, 2025 at St. Peter's Hospital. Donnie Morris was born on May 5, 1952, welcomed to the world to the late Willie Morris and Gannie McCall Sanders. Donnie was born at Albany Medical Center and raised in Albany, NY. He was educated in Albany, NY. He was a musician and was honorably discharged from the military. Donnie loved his family and friends deeply, from his heart. He was patient and compassionate to other people's feelings. He was handsome with a beautiful smile, when he dressed, he always looked sharp, no matter the situation. Donnie loved his guitar and making music with his friends and family. He laughed just as much as he cried, he knew how to take things seriously, if need be, he was respected. Donnie loved his church family, he knew God and his mom made sure of that. He was always willing o help if he could. Predeceased by his sister, Mary Beverly, brother, Willie Morris Jr, brother, Sammy Morris, sister, Sadie Harris, daughters, Lizetta Marie Morris Smith, A.J. and Betty Creagh, and grandson, Donjahliek Morris, Our Angels. He leaves to cherish in memory of his wife, Dawn Jeffress, children, Raymond Sharpe, Dyuan and Shakima Morris, Donnie Morris, Lashay Morris and Sharome Ross, Devon Morris, Rose Morris, Lawanda Morris, Zabaria Morris, and Donta Morris. Siblings - Wanda Morris, Linda Morris, Sonya Morris, Gannie Stoudmire, John and Shavon Sanders, Christopher Morris, David Morris, and Aunt Eretta and Uncle Elliot Lyons of Atlanta, GA. A host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who he loved with all his heart. Donnie will be missed by all who knew him. He was popular, and people loved to be around him. He loved beans and cornbread; he loved watchin Sanford and Sone, playing his guitar/instruments and just loved music in general. We pray that you watch over us, we love you always and forever. Gone but not forgotten, forever in our hearts.
