ALBANY- Christopher Michael Doherty, first born son of Michael and Gloria came into the world late on June 27, 1965 and left early on December 1, 2018.

He is survived by his parents, sisters, Michele (David) Gerhard, Julie (Cliff) Nooney and Kelly (Bryan) Connor; brothers Patrick (Leeann) Doherty and Walter Piela whom he regarded as an “older brother”; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles..

Chris loved the outdoors, water, fishing and baseball. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He designed and installed beautiful landscapes and stone works as the owner of Doherty Landscaping. Chris fought the good fight to the end. When he was diagnosed with heart failure he was given 16 months to live. He survived 4 years. Rest in Peace Chris we all love you.

Family and friends are invited to 246 Whitehall Road in Albany from 1-4 pm on Sunday December 9th, 2018, to remember Chris, console each other and to say goodbye.
