WATERVLIET- Earl Richard John Dingman died in Albany, New York at the age of 71, on September 26, 2022.
Earl was born on April 19, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, to Richard Earl Dingman and Mary Nicholas Dingman.
In his teen years, his family moved to the Los Angeles, California area. Earl joined the Army and was honorably discharged.
He was a musician (guitar and keyboard) and formed a band called "Cut Crystal" in the early 1970s. He went on into music and video production and recording for many years, running ERD Productions in Los Angeles.
In semi-retirement, he moved to upstate New York and worked in photo developing.
In his later years, he became an author and self publisher of a number of fiction books and a manual on video production (under a pen name). He dabbled in astronomy, and produced a cooking video featuring his grandmother's old Romanian recipes.
Earl never married and had no known children.
Earl was buried at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands with a private graveside service.
