GLENMONT – Margaret L. (Horst) Dickert, 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Friday, February 2, 2018. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Irene (Mausert) Horst. She was a graduate of Hackett High School. Mrs. Dickert worked for the NYS retirement system as a processing clerk for 10 years. She was a member of the First Church in Albany, Reformed. She was a homemaker, and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Dickert enjoyed crocheting.
Predeceased by her husband Warren G. Dickert in 1970, she is survived by her three daughters Diane Magee (late Michael), Carol Rightmyer (Wayne), and Ruth Ziman (William); 10 grandchildren Kristin Osborne (Andrew), Laurie Deschenes (Buddy), Beth Hunter-Boehlke (John), Adam Ritchie, Kara Stover (Douglas), Jillian Leibach (Adam), Matthew, Zachary, Rachel, and Nathaniel Ziman; 13 great-grandchildren, niece June Seith (Charles), and nephew Thomas Mueller (Mary).
Her Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6, at 11 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with the family prior to the service from 10 – 11 am. Interment will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery. Those who wish may send donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
