FISHERVILLE, Va. - Aris DeNigris, 90 of Albany, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2021, in Virginia. Born on January 19, 1931, in North Carolina, she was educated at the Sacred Heart Boarding School and Junior College in Belmont, N.C. Aris was the caring and beloved wife of Edward DeNigris for 72 years; she enjoyed working with her husband as antique appraisers for their business Eden Gallery on the east coast and at their home in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Fla. where they spent many years enjoying the Florida sunshine. Aris loved music, art, and literature (she was very proud of her son Cary who is an accomplished musician). She was also a published author of poetry, memoirs, fiction, and novellas. She is survived by her loving husband along with her three sons, Edward, Stephen, and Cary; her granddaughters who gave her immense joy, Staci (Patrick) Shea, and Natalie DeNigris; grandsons, Eddie and Michael DeNigris; her great-granddaughters, Lilly Rose and Madeline Shea; devoted niece Kathleen McCredie Takacs; and loving friend Sheryl Carey who was more like a daughter to Aris. She will be truly missed by many friends and family members. Burial Services for both Edward and Aris will take place on August 13, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at the Gerald B. H.
