ALBANY- Giovanni DeLuise, 81, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Montemorro, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Madalena (Robilotta) DeLuise he lived in Albany since 1967. Mr. DeLuise worked as a machinist for Albany Spring in Menands for 36 years.He was a talented craftsman and enjoyed working with machinery, automobiles and maintaining his rental properties. Mr. DeLuise was a communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
He is survived by his wife, Vincenzina (Notarfrancesco) DeLuise; his children, Antonio DeLuise, Maria Lena DeLuise and Carmelina Lausell; his grandchildren, Carlos Giovanni and Cergio Lausell and Miguel Giovanni DeLuise; his brother, Guiseppe (Nancy) DeLuise; his sister, Margherita (the late Guiseppe) Scarlassare; his brother-in-law, Donato Coduti and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Antoinetta Coduti.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 17, 2017 at 8:15 a.m. from the funeral home thence to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
