Deitz, Anna Marie

CLIFTON PARK-Anna Marie (Betzwieser) Deitz, 85, formerly of Albany died, New Year’s Day, January 1, 2013. Born in Albany and a graduate of the former Vincentian Institute she was the daughter of the late Albert and Katharina (Doeren) Betzwieser. Anna was a devoted wife and mother and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She was a former member of the Normanside Country Club where she loved to play golf and bridge. She was a longtime Communicant of the former Church of the Holy Cross.

Anna was the wife of the late John F. Deitz, Sr.; beloved mother of Carol A. (late Robert) Grems of Virginia Beach, VA., Sharon M. (Thomas) Pasquini of Kingwood, TX. and John F. (Ann) Deitz, Jr. of Clifton Park; loving grandmother of Eric (Jennifer) and Michael Grems, Thomas (Elisabeth), Brian (Olivia) and Leanne Pasquini, Justin and Katharina Deitz; sister of Erwin B. (late Margaret) Betzwieser of Albany. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 8:15 a.m. from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany thence to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 391 Delaware Avenue, Albany where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205.
