Glenmont, NY
- Timothy James Cronin, 61, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 after a brief illness. Born in Queens, NY. Timothy was the son of Roseanne Conway Cronin and the late Gerald Cronin. Timothy was a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School on Long Island in 1978 & LeMoyne College in 1982.
Timothy was a Writer (Public Relations) by Profession spending more than Four Decades in both the Public & Private Sectors. He began his career working inside the New York State Legislature, continuing on to the New York State Lobbying Industry before opening his own Public Relations Firm-Communication Concepts. Most recently Timothy was a Technical Writer for General Dynamics.
Timothy loved his family & his partner Carol Sackett. Timothy was a sports fan & while he rooted for the Mets & Jets you would be more apt to find him playing than watching. Whether on the Volleyball Court or Softball Field or Rugby Pitch (a founding member of the LeMoyne College Rugby Team) Timothy was an active participant & coach. Timothy was an avid reader and while his library transcended all topics you would be hard pressed to win an argument on Post-Roman Empire European or North American History.
Above all else, and aside from being a Father, Timothy was a Musician. His love of Music was unparalleled whether Performing, Listening, or Writing; Music played a dominant role in the Passion of Timothy’s Life. While he will be remembered for his many talents, Musician was at the top of his list.
Timothy was predeceased by his father Gerald Cronin. Survivors include his beloved mother Roseanne Cronin; partner Carol Sackett; sons Michael J. (Meghan) Cronin, Joseph R. (Abbey Dowling) Cronin,Timothy V. (Christie) Cronin; his sisters Patrice (Thomas Skowron) Cronin, Maureen (John O’Sullivan) Finn, Michele (Daniel) Murphy, Jeannine (Christopher) Gunsel and his brother Brian (Nancy) Cronin. He is also survived by his beloved nieces & nephews.
