Corrigan, Kathleen A.

COLONIE- Kathleen A. Corrigan, age 68 of Colonie, NY, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn on November 23, 2018. “Kathy” fought a long and courageous health battle, beating the odds many times with gracious patience, good humor, great strength and an amazing will to live. She will be lovingly remembered for her extraordinary kindness to all, her gentle nature and her generosity of spirit. She was a peacemaker who found a connection with everyone she met.

Kathy was a graduate of Mercy High School in Albany, NY.She was employed for many years at the New York State Department of Health. She loved her work and the many friends she made there.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Allen M. Corrigan, their daughter Michelle Corrigan (Brian Van Vranken) and grandson Gavin Van Vranken. She is the daughter of Agnes Miller and the late Leo Miller, sister of Virginia Khoury (Anthony Sherwell), Christine Berte (the late Jack) and David Miller. She is the sister-in-law of Kathleen Lyons, Christine Glogowski (Wayne), Nancy Shaw (Brad), and Susan Ullman (Steve). She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her lifelong best friend Mary Ellen McCranie. She was like a second mother to her daughter’s many friends.

Kathy’s memorial gathering will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
