Conrad, Helen Mathias

FAYETTEVILLE, NC- Helen Conrad (Holmberg), 84, of Delmar passed on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at her daughter's home. Helen was born New Year's Eve 1927 in Albany to the late Edward and Mary Mathias.

She retired in 1983 from the NYS Thruway Authority after 25 years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; an avid bowler, bingo player, lover of yard sales and she had a love for her now deceased black lab Bubba.

Helen was the wife of the late Jarl Holmberg and Harold Conrad. She is survived by her daughter Linda Holmberg LeMaster and her husband James LeMaster of NC; her sister Geraldine Marchand of FL, her grandchildren SGM Jeffrey LeMaster and his wife Dr. Kimberly LeMaster of NC; great-granddaughters Kylie and Kadie of NC and several nieces and nephews,

In keeping with Helen’s wishes there will be no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 10:00 am in Holy Spirit Lutheran Cemetery, Feura Bush Rd., Glenmont.
