ALBANY- Rose D. (Dramis) Coluccio, 86, passed away peacefully at the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Guilderland on Thursday, September 28, 2017.
Born in Albany and a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (DiTullio) Dramis. Rose was a secretary for the American Red Cross and later for the NY Telephone Company for 25 years. She was a communicant of the Church of St. Pius X in Loudonville.
Rose liked playing Scrabble, crossword puzzles and old TV Movies. Before her eyesight failed, she enjoyed knitting. Rose maintained a friendship with high school classmates for over 50 years. They liked to “hang out” and enjoyed frequent outings as a group. She loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved nieces and nephews.
Rose is survived by her loving sister Antoinette Zorian (Gregory T. Jr.) nieces and nephews, Nicole Bovee (Ernie), Gregory T. Zorian, III (Kathleen) and their children, Annabel and Samantha and Lori Harwood (Jeffery) and their daughter, Lindsay. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Frank Jr. and Anthony Dramis.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the compassionate care extended to Rose during her time as a resident.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Pius X, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville. All are invited to attend. There will be no public calling hours. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Rose’s memory to the Northeast Association of the Blind, 301 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12206 or the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
