Cerone, Shirley A.

GLENMONT – Shirley Ann Cerone, 81, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 21, 2018 at her home.

Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mabel (VanAlstyne) Bailey. Shirley was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James J. Cerone; her son, James F. Cerone; and her sisters Arlene Wiggand and Marion Hoose. She is survived by her children Joseph J. Cerone (Michelle), Donna M. Kenney (Matthew), and Janice A. Behuniak (Richard); her sister Laura Howard (William); grandchildren and their families Stacy Swierzewski (Adam), Gavin, Savannah, and Kaydam; Justin Dumas (Samantha), and Julianna; Ryan Cerone, Mathew Cerone and Jamie Cerone; also survived by many nieces and nephews. She especially enjoyed morning visits with her nephew Bobby Wiggand (Sally) and numerous Sunday dinners and Holiday gatherings with her nephew Keith and Debbie Wiggand and all of their family.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Shirley’s family Tuesday, April 24, from 5-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Funeral services and entombment will be held privately.
