Catalano, Nancy A.

ALBANY- Nancy A. (Smith) Catalano, formerly Nancy Dunn, 77, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by family.

Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Louise (Zinzow) Smith. She was a graduate of the former Cathedral Academy. Nancy worked for the city of Albany as a clerk with the parking violations bureau for more than 20 years retiring in 2000. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Nancy enjoyed shopping, being out in the sunshine and traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas.She loved spending time with her beloved Evan.

She is the wife of 40 years of George Catalano; mother of Dennis (Kelly) Dunn and James (Regina) Dunn; step-mother of Carol (Walter) McNall, Catherine (Fred) Alund, Michael (Tammy) Catalano and George (Coach) Catalano; cherished grandmother of Evan, Amber, Alex, Ryan, Shannon and Jacob; sister of Michael Smith and the late Robert Smith; sister-in-law of Maggie Smith; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family Friday, March 9 from 4-7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 10 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 391 Delaware Ave. Albany. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
