COXSACKIE- Richard D. Calordino, 65, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
Born in Albany, he graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School and attended both SUNY Albany and HVCC. Mr. Calordino served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked for the US Postal Service and also for Radio Shack. He was a life member of the Sheehy-Palmer VFW Post #6776 and the Tri County Council of Vietnam Era Veterans.
Mr. Calordino was predeceased by his parents, Sylvester and Rose Calordino; his sister Camile Jones and his granddaughter Sophia Rose Bernadette. He is survived by his wife, Joyce McCampbell; former wife, Patricia Calordino; son, Christopher Springstead; daughters, Gina (Steven) Calordino- Bullock and Christina Calordino; grandchildren, Tyler Catello and Caiden Catello; numerous nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the funeral home on Thursday prior to the service from 4 to 7 p.m.
