ALBANY - Helen Calderone, 83 of Albany, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2021.

Born in Albany, Helen was the daughter of the late Frank and CarmelaCalderone.

From 1954 to 1984, Helen was a Franciscan Nun in Syracuse, following that she worked various part time positions, before retiring. She was also a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany.

She is survived by her loving sister Margaret Rapello and her nieces and nephews: Ken, Michael, Karen (Pasquale), Paul (Kirsten), Charlene (Mike), Lynne, Michael (Amy), Cindy, Debbie (Ben), Jim and several great nieces and great nephews.

Helen is predeceased by her brother Charles (Jean) Calderone and her aunt Rose (John) Delessio.

Helen’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday February 5 at 9:00 am for close family and friends at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 607 Central Ave, Albany. Please only enter the church from the Hunter Avenue parking lot doorway; masks and social distancing are required.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry.

Interment will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Albany.
