BURNS, MARY S.

ALBANY- Mary (Sasso) Burns, 94, died Tuesday, March 09, 2010 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing home. Born in Valley Falls, NY, she lived in Albany most of her life and attended Albany Public Schools. Mrs. Burns worked as a joiner at Huyck Mills for several years. She was a long time communicant of St. James Church.

Wife of the late John P. Burns; sister of Jane Bendetti of Troy, Grace Thornton, John Sasso and Michael Sasso all of Albany and the late Elizabeth Navarro, Pauline DiPietro, Angelo Sasso and Leonard Sasso. She is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews and their families.

The family would like to thank the women and men at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center and McAuley Residence for their dedicated and loving care of Mary these past years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 in St. James Church, 391 Delaware Ave., Albany where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany on Saturday from 9-10 am prior to the Mass. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
