BURCH, DORIS T.

ALBANY- Doris T. (Rouse) Burch, 87, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Doris was born in Boston, MA and was the daughter of the late James and Sarah (Brennan) Rouse. She graduated from the Cathedral Academy. Upon graduation, Doris worked for the NYS Division of the Budget. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her family. Doris was a kind and caring woman with a keen sense of humor. She was also a volunteer at Albany Medical Center for many years.

Doris was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Thomas J. Burch, Jr.; her sister Mary Hannan and her brother Thomas Rouse. Doris is survived by her children

Thomas Burch, Kevin Burch, Peter Burch, Gregory (Patricia) Burch, Betsy (David) Appel and Nancy (Thomas) Harvey; her grandchildren, T. Connor Harvey and Robert Maxwell Harvey; a nephew and nieces. Doris was the dear friend of Mrs. Helen Shields and Mrs. Patricia Carroll.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Our Lady of Mercy Life Center and to her former homecare companions.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 10:30 am in the Parish of Mater Christi, (formerly St. Catherine of Siena Church)

40 Hopewell St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday, December 16, 2009 from 3-7 PM in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave.
